Nottingham Forest are launching a bid for Sunderland striker Connor Wickham.
The Daily Mail says Wickham has been on loan at Sheffield Wednesday and is not wanted at Sunderland.
Wickham extended his loan at Wednesday five days ago. The England Under 21 striker has scored seven goals in nine games and was intending to stay at the club until January 29 but Forest have revived their interest and are looking to sign him permanently.
