Nottingham Forest defender Spence enjoys swipe at Warnock

Nottingham Forest defender Djed Spence celebrated winning Premier League promotion with a dart at his former Middlesbrough boss Neil Warnock.

Spence has been one of the Championship stars of the season, and has been a crucial part of Forest's push for promotion under Steve Cooper. But the defender was sent out on loan by Warnock to "sort himself out" as he began to struggle at parent club Middlesbrough.

Warnock has since left the club and retired, and has recently trended after joining Twitter at the age of 73. And Spence has welcomed the legendary boss to the platform in brutal fashion, by calling out his former boss while smoking a cigar.

He mocked Warnock in brutal fashion just hours after securing Premier League status with Forest.

Spence posted a picture of himself smoking a cigar with the play-off final trophy, and wrote: "Oh, Where's my Manners! Welcome to Twitter @WarnockOfficial."

Warnock decided to send Spence out on loan at the start of the season, and he justified his decision by saying: "I let him go. He needed to sort himself out, really. I basically said to him that you can go to the top or you can go non-league.

"I think Steve Cooper is the manager for him, to be honest. He has let him go forward more often, which suits his game."
