Midfielder Korey Smith has signed a one-year contract extension with Norwich City. Smith told the club's official website: "It feels good to sign. The last three years have been great for the club and I'm looking forward to getting involved with the squad.

"Chris Hughton coming in means it's a fresh start for everyone, and for someone like me who went out on loan, it's a good chance to impress in pre-season, so I'm looking forward to getting out onto the pitch.

"I went to Barnsley on loan last season and really enjoyed it. It was a good experience to work under a different manager, with different players, and in a different environment."
