Norwich's Adams insists no issue with skipper Bassong

Norwich City caretaker boss Neil Adams has made it clear that there is no problem with club captain Sebastien Bassong.

The Cameroon defender was dropped from the Canaries squad for the weekend's 1-0 loss to Fulham despite starting 27 times under former manager Chris Hughton this season.

In the wake of Bassong's omission, Adams responded to questions regarding the former Tottenham centre-back's status at Carrow Road, insisting the 27-year old is still a required player.

"There's no agenda there," Adams said. "I've told Seb I'll need him - that might be in the next game or the game after, I don't know, but he is a big part of this team.

"I just felt from what I've seen and the set-up that Fulham have, I thought Russell Martin and Michael Turner would be best suited.

"Seb is a fantastic player - he knows he's the team captain and he still is, there's no issue there."
