Norwich City are closing a deal for Schalke goalkeeper Ralf Fahrmann today.

Sky Sports says Fahrmann is undergoing a medical with Norwich.

The 30-year-old is close to joining the newly-promoted Canaries on a season-long loan deal from Schalke.

Fahrmann's wife started to follow Norwich on Instagram on Wednesday and he is close friends with Norwich assistant Christopher John; the two founded a clothing company together a few years ago.

Norwich have been looking for a keeper to provide competition for Tim Krul, who signed a new long-term deal following promotion.
