Norwich City have launched a bid for Celtic fullback Emilio Izaguirre.

The Scottish Sun says Carrow Road boss Chris Hughton is desperate to seal his second Old Firm capture of the summer after signing Steven Whittaker from Rangers.

And Hughton wants to use 24-year-old striker James Vaughan, a long-time Neil Lennon target, to clinch the deal.

Sources close to Izaguirre last night confirmed the Canaries' interest. The Honduran is understood to be unsettled by an SPL battle minus Rangers.
