Norwich City are ready to hand new terms to USA defender Zak Whitbread.
The former Liverpool youngster is entering the final year of his contract after arriving on a two-and-half-year deal from Millwall in January 2010.
The 27-year-old has established himself as a key member of Paul Lambert's side and was instrumental in their promotion to the Premier League last season.
Skysports.com says Lambert is ready to offer him a new deal to secure his long-term future.
