Norwich goalkeeper Tim Krul frustrated after Newcastle stalemate

Norwich City goalkeeper Tim Krul felt they deserved more from their 0-0 draw at Newcastle United.

It meant a clean sheet for Krul against his old club.

He said, “I'm a bit disappointed, I think we could've got the three points in the end. I think we played well and created enough chances, but in the end, the final pass wasn't good enough or we just missed a few chances.

“[Martin] Dubravka made a really good save, that first header from Kenny [McLean], a free header as well. We did everything to deserve a win, I think, but yeah at the end of the day it's a point."

Newcastle showed good resolve in their defence, managing to keep City's attackers at bay for majority of the match. Krul thinks that City did everything they could to get the much-needed winner, and couldn't do much more.

“I don't think we could've done much more, we created enough, we got in their box enough times, it's just that final bit of quality was lacking today. It's a shame, because this was definitely a big opportunity to keep pushing on.

“But, at the end of the day we just have to take the positives and keep pushing hard and hope it will fall our way when we play Liverpool at home."
