Norwich City defender Russell Martin admits they had no answer to Liverpool's hat-trick hero Luis Suarez on Saturday.

The Reds thumped Norwich 5-2 at Carrow Road.

Martin said: "We definitely didn't see that coming, but Liverpool have been threatening to do that for a few weeks now and it was just our bad luck on the day to be on the receiving end.

"Suarez was superb. He's got pace, he's strong and he can come short or he can get in behind you - his finishing is clinical as well.

"We will watch the video nasty of this game on Monday and then get back to work Tuesday and crack on.
