Norwich bring in police over alleged racist tweet aimed at Vaughan

Norwich City have reported alleged racist abuse aimed at James Vaughan to the police.

Vaughan, who is currently out of action with a knee injury, received abusive messages on his Twitter account.

And Norwich chief executive David McNally also used Twitter to thank internet users for bringing the matter to their attention.

"Thank you for the information regarding racist tweets," McNally wrote. "We have handed details to the police and cannot comment any further."

Asked by Leicester player Lee Peltier who was responsible for the abusive messages, Vaughan replied on Twitter: "Dunno pal just some loser giving it cos he feels like a big man on the computer."
