Norwich boss hunting for players in the bargain basement

Norwich boss Chris Hughton must look for transfer bargains if he is to strengthen his Canaries squad. Norwich have lost five of the last six as they start to slide ominously down the table.

Hughton accepts the Norfolk club will have to look for value for money in any transfers they are able to complete over the next eight days.

"That is where they are and what they are able to do and a group of clubs can do that. We have to do things our way. It is never that easy, but we will keep going right the way through," Hughton said, quoted in the Eastern Daily Press.

"It is something that we want to do, but perhaps people don't understand how difficult it is."

"You look at QPR spending big money bringing in Loic Remy, who scores on his debut, and that is another example of what these clubs are capable of doing."
