North Queensland Fury's marquee signing, Robbie Fowler, is undertaking extra training sessions.
The former Liverpool star has been struggling with a groin injury of late but is intent on fast tracking his fitness so he can start playing competitive matches with his new club.
"Robbie isn't here for a cameo role," said club chairman/owner Don Matheson.
"He's here to play. He is putting in double sessions most days and now it's not so much talking about an injured player, it's about getting him ready to play."
