North Queensland Fury v Perth Glory preview

With both sides struggling at the foot of the A-League table, this fixture doesn't really supply too much in the way of excitement.

But it does have the potential to supply plenty of goals as both teams will be hell-bent on recording three points to ease some pressure and may forget how to defend as the need to produce a winning score heightens.

The match marks the return of Perth's Robbie Fowler to Dairy Farmers Stadium for the first time since he left the Fury at the end of last season and it will be interesting to see the reception the Liverpool legend gets.

Another interesting point is how Glory coach Ian Ferguson will deal with his long injury and suspension list as a high number of players are unavailable for this match.

Young defender Brent Griffiths and forwards Michael Baird and Mile Sterjovski are all back which gives a bit of stress relief to Ferguson but the Fury regain Dyron Daal and Eugene Sseppuya who have proven to be dangerous in the attacking third this season.

This particular fixture doesn't do a whole lot for a neutral observer so the best I can do is tip a goalfest and then hope it occurs.

Verdict: 2-2 draw
