North Queensland Fury have admitted they are furious with the officiating in Saturday night's clash with Central Coast Mariners.
The Fury lost the contest 3-2 after Mariners defender Patrick Zwaanswijk headed home in injury time and according to an unnamed player, the Townsville-based club are extremely irate with how the match was refereed.
"It's got to be reviewed that game, the performance of the guy in the middle, I thought it was atrocious," the player told the Townsville Bulletin. "It was stinking. I don't know how to describe it, but it never went the way of us."
Fury assistant Stuart McLaren was also critical of the officiating but to a far lesser extent than the player.
"The conspiracy theorists might say that because we had some negative points to make to the officials at halftime that they didn't do us any favours in the second half," McLaren said.
"I'm not saying that, I'm just saying the conspiracy theorists (might)."
