North Korea striker Jong Tae-Se interesting Blackburn

North Korea striker Jong Tae-Se is interesting Blackburn Rovers.

The Mirror says Jong spent a week on trial at Rovers in February and Sam Allardyce is monitoring his progress at the tournament and with his Japanese club side Kawasaki Frontale.

Jong, 26, dreams of playing in the Premier League and claims he is North Korea's No 1 Blackburn fan.

"I want to play in England," he said. "When I was at high school, Italy's Serie A was the most popular league but with the help of cable television, I started watching English football and I really enjoyed the stadiums, the atmosphere and the passion.

"Years ago, I used to train wearing a Blackburn Rovers shirt.

"In Japan, there were not many people wearing Blackburn shirts. I just went to the shop and bought one because I liked it."
