Arsenal's new signing Granit Xhaka has gone on to reveal that former Gunners Havard Nordtveit, Johan Djourou and Philippe Senderos encouraged him to join the Premier League giants.
Arsenal have splashed more than £30million in order to secure the services of Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach and the 23-year-old's arrival has certainly created a lot of excitement among the Gunners faithful.
Now Xhaka has gone on to speak regarding his big money move and has stated that Gladbach teammate Nordtveit and Swiss national team colleagues Djourou and Senderos encouraged him to make the switch to the Emirates Stadium due to the 'family' environment of the club.
The Swiss international told the Arsenal Player: "I spoke with [Nordtveit] about Arsenal and he told me it's a big club, a family club and it's very important for me to come here.
"Philippe played here and I play with him in the national team. Johan and Philippe have only told me positive things.
"Arsenal is Arsenal. It's not a small club, it's a very big club and it's like a family. It's very good for me because I love my family and to have another family here is very good."
