Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand believes the club does not get enough credit for their consistency of success.
The Red Devils are on the verge of winning their 20th league title, which would make it 12 Premierships since 1992, but bizarrely Sir Alex Ferguson's men are never backed to win it the season after they triumph.
Ferdinand is baffled why United are not always favoured to win the league and admits it is something that gets his goat.
"Every year that we've won the league, the following season we've never been favourites to win the league," he told Red Wednesday.
"That's in most people's books or in the bookies' books, and that's always riled me.
"If you win the league, you should be the favourites next year because you've been the best team in the league - it's simple."
