West Bromwich Albion have been boosted by news that striker Saido Berahino will not require surgery and will be fit in time for the new season.
Scans have confirmed Berahino had suffered only minor ligament damage to his right knee in a training session with the England U21s last week which ruled him out of the UEFA U21 European Championships prior to the beginning of the tournament.
The 21-year old will now face a four-week recovery period and should be available for the Baggies' Premier League opener against Manchester City on August 8.
