Lassana Diarra's contract at Portsmouth does not have a release clause, according to Pompey chief executive Peter Storrie.
The former Arsenal midfielder shifted to Fratton Park last January and it is believed his performances this season have caught the eye of many managers, especially the man that initially got him in Portsmouth colours, Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp.
There is speculation that Diarra's contract has a £10 million release clause and the fact that Portsmouth's financial situation is not ideal, leaves the door ajar for potential suitors.
This is not the case according to Storrie.
"There is no clause in his contract whatsoever - it is absolute rubbish," Storrie told The News.
"Let's get this straight, we are not looking to sell Diarra. Also, if someone came in and wanted him they would have to pay an awful lot of money, credit crunch or no credit crunch.
"He's is a fantastic football player and I think will go on to be one of the best midfield players there is in the world.
"If they come here and offer us Mickey Mouse money - not a chance."
