Central Coast Mariners have rubbished claims that they have signed former Socceroos striker Mile Sterjovski.
It was suggested that the Mariners had swooped for the 33-year old after he was released by Chinese club Dalian Aerbin with a one-year deal agreed.
But Mariners director of football Lawrie McKinna has calmed speculation about the ex-FC Basel, Derby Country and Perth Glory man.
"It's not true. Mile hasn't signed," McKinna told The World Game.
"We have one spot left in our squad for a striker and that should be confirmed within a week."
