Nicolas Burdisso has been named new sporting director of Fiorentina.
The former Inter Milan, Roma, Genoa and Torino player appeared 326 times in the Italian top flight and retired from football in 2018.
Burdisso was then appointed sporting director of Boca Juniors in Argentina, but has now returned to Italy.
The 40 year-old was originally due to take charge of Fiorentina's scouting team, but has now been announced as the club's sporting director.
