New Nice signing Hatem Ben Arfa has no regrets over his time with England.

The former Newcastle United midfielder was released this week after his loan with Hull City turned sour.

Ben Arfa signed with Nice yesterday and said: "Today, I'm 27, I have a lot of experiences, good and bad. I really wanted to return to France. Here is where I grew up, this is my culture.

"In Nice, there is every part needed to express myself and be myself.

"In England I lived a lot of good experiences, I have learned a lot, I had a big injury but the most important thing is to have accumulated the experience.

"I think I can bring my qualities on the field and my experience. It is journalists who say I'm a genius. I am a player who makes pleasure on the field, the rest does not interest me. I came here because I needed to return to France. I am eager to regain ground."
