Nice owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe will not block centre half Jean-Clair Todibo joining Tottenham in January.

The 23-year-old is wanted by a host of Premier League clubs, including Spurs and Manchester United.

Ratcliffe is in talks to buy 25 percent of the Old Trafford club, but will not play favourites.

While he would love to see Todibo at United, The Standard states that such a decision would ultimately rest with the player.

Todibo may see Spurs as a better fit for his career, or he may choose to move to United instead.

Spurs are eager to secure a defender in January, but United may have to wait until the summer to make major moves due to FFP restrictions.
