Nice coach Lucien Favre admits he doesn't know a lot about new signing Ross Barkley.

Barkley, 28, joined Nice after Chelsea paid up his contract to make him a free agent.

"In your mind, is he [Barkley] more of a six, more of an eight…?' one journalist asked Favre at today's presser.

"I'm told he's more of an eight," Favre responded, seemingly admitting he himself is unsure of how best to use Barkley.

Nice have turned to the Premier League this summer in a bid to overhaul their team.

The French side picked up Aaron Ramsey plus Kasper Schmeichel and Fulham full-back Joe Bryan. Nicolas Pepe has also joined on loan from Arsenal.
