Newcastle United winger Jacob Murphy admits their first-half performance shocked him against Tottenham.
Murphy struck twice as Newcastle entered halftime on Sunday 5-0 ahead.
The second of the midfielder's goals was an eye-catching drive and he later reflected: "People will talk about my reaction to the strike and saying I was shocked, it was more being shocked we were three-nil up after nine minutes. Good strike, good goal, happy days!"
Murphy was asked whether he had seen 'anything like' the opening 20 minutes as a player or a fan.
He added: "No, I think the boys ran out of celebration ideas in the end! It was just such a great day, a great start, and it was about taking accountability from previous games and starting in the right way. We did that."
