Newcastle United are still no clearer regarding the future of defender Jamaal Lascelles.

The Magpies club captain was linked with a move away from St. James' Park earlier in the transfer window.

Reports had linked Lascelles to newly promoted Luton Town, but a deal has not materialized.

Per Chronicle Live, the 29-year-old does want to leave for regular first team football.

With a year left on his contract, Lascelles should be able to earn a cut price move.

The Magpies are unlikely to demand a big fee for a player who is no longer first choice.
