Newcastle United must up their bid to land West Ham United defender James Tomkins.
The Daily Mail says West Ham have told Newcastle they will have to increase their £3million offer for Tomkins considerably to tempt them into a sale.
West Ham boss Sam Allardyce would prefer to keep hold of the youngster.
