Newcastle United are keen to set up a loan deal for Tottenham fullback Danny Rose.

The Telegraph says Rose is wanted on loan by Newcastle but Tottenham would prefer to sell the unsettled defender.

Steve Bruce was interested in the England left-back during the summer and he could make a fresh move following Jetro Willems' season-ending knee injury.

Rose has only started one Premier League game under manager Jose Mourinho and was not in the matchday squad against Watford at the weekend.

The Portuguese admitted rowing with Rose earlier this week over his omission.
