Ajax midfielder Vurnon Anita, a reported target for Newcastle, is hoping to land a move to the Premier League. The Holland international still has two years remaining on his contract at the Amsterdam ArenA, but they could be persuaded to part with the 23-year-old for a fee of £8million, according to the Newcastle Evening Chronicle.
"I am going to seriously consider any interest and will discuss it with my parents," he said. "The Premier League is a top competition where I would want to play.
"Ajax say they won't let me go, and I'm tied up here until 2014. It would be no punishment to stay, but you never know."
