Newcastle striker Wilson excited about Fraser reunion

Newcastle United signing Callum Wilson is delighted at being reunited with Ryan Fraser.

The two played together with Bournemouth in the past few seasons.

Wilson arrives for a big fee, while Fraser was a free transfer after his Cherries contract expired in June.

"He was a great partner, who I played with at Bournemouth for a few years," Wilson told Sky Sports News of Fraser.

"We had a great communication on the pitch and I think we ended up combining for 12 goals a couple of seasons ago.

"He would be a great addition to any team - not just Newcastle. If he comes here, I'm looking forward to playing with him, adding to the squad that's already here.

"There's already great quality here and, obviously, that's what swayed my decision as well. There's great players within the team and there's so much more to give and I feel like just being a part of that on the journey is going in the right direction."
