Newcastle United striker Shola Ameobi loves the passion shown by manager Alan Pardew.

Pardew upset the Sunderland bench with his antics during the derby last week.

But Ameobi said: "Our players show a lot of passion and the manager shows it as well.

"He knew the importance of that derby and didn't want to be on the losing side. Sometimes that passion spills over but it's great to see it in your manager too.

"Our manager wears his heart on his sleeve. And that is no bad thing."
