Newcastle United are intent on making a summer bid for Charlie Austin.
The Daily Star is of the belief that the Magpies plan to make a £10million offer for the QPR striker who netted 18 goals despite his side's relegation from the Premier League in the recently-completed season.
Austin is almost certain to leave Loftus Road after making such an impression in England's top flight and the Toon are gunning for the former Burnley ace.
Newcastle are still trying to sort out their managerial situation after employing John Carver on an interim basis since Alan Pardew left at the beginning of the year but they have made no secret of their desire to lure Austin to St James' Park.
