Newcastle United are scouting Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney.

The youngster's form has brought him to the attention of several Premier League clubs, including Newcastle.

The Daily Mail says Newcastle have been watching Hackney regularly this season.

Hackney was the matchwinner for Boro in the first-leg of their Carabao Cup semifinal against Chelsea.

He has played for England and Scotland at U21 level.
