Newcastle's Taylor: It's Pardew who deserves all the credit

Newcastle United defender Ryan Taylor says manager Alan Pardew deserves all of the credit for the Geordie club's brilliant start to the season.

The Magpies are four wins and four draws after eight matches and sit fourth on the Premier League table ahead of tomorrow's meeting with the struggling Wigan Athletic.

Taylor says that it has been Pardew's influence that has led the players to produce such positive results despite losing some key men in the summer.

"I'd say all because he's brought to this club a stability and he's brought some great players in, so, you know, it is really all down to what the gaffer's put on in training and what we've done in pre-season," he told Absolute Radio.

"You know, he organises days out so I'm going to give the gaffer all the credit."

As for the summer signings, Taylor was complimentary of a couple in particular.

"Well I think they've all done well," he added. "I know a couple obviously aren't playing due to the results we've had, and it's kind of changed a winning team, but I'd say Yohan Cabaye has done really well and Demba Ba has started to prove his worth now."
