Newcastle United defender James Perch says it's not all 'doom and gloom' at the Toon despite a five-match winless run.
The Magpies have dropped to seventh on the table after taking just two points from a possible 15 but 21-year old Perch was remaining positive following the scoreless draw with Swansea City on Saturday.
"Even after the Chelsea game (a 3-0 home defeat) it was not doom and gloom in the dressing room. All it has been about is dusting ourselves down and getting a positive result.
"If you look at the way we have played and the results we have picked up, people will be talking about us like they have been and about being in the top six or top 10.
"It is just belief in the dressing room, we know how good we are and what we can do.
"That is the main thing.""We have never thought it was doom and gloom here," he told the Evening Chronicle.
