Newcastle United have cut short the Port Vale loan of Remie Streete.
The Sentinel says Newcastle have taken up the option to recall the 20-year-old from his loan spell at Vale Park which was scheduled to run until January 4.
Streete's recall is understood to be down to injuries in Newcastle's backline with Steven Taylor currently out injured and captain Fabricio Coloccini limping off in the win at West Bromwich Albion at the weekend.
A statement by Port Vale read: "Everyone at the club would like to wish Remie all the best for the future."
