Newcastle United are ready to cut ties with Christian Atsu.

The news comes just six months after the Ghanaian rejected the chance to join Celtic.

Toon are preparing a massive nine-player firesale this summer, and TheChronicle says it includes Atsu.

Upcoming free agents Jamie Sterry, Rob Elliot and Jack Colback will not be offered new contracts.

Along with Atsu, the Magpies will also look to sell Achraf Lazaar, Henri Saivet and Rolando Aarons.

Nottingham Forest and Blackburn Rovers also tried to sign the Chelsea academy product in January.
