Newcastle United are lining up a January move for Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

Calciomercato.com says Rabiot could be one of the first signings the Magpies look to make in the next transfer window.

Despite getting regular game time for the Bianconeri, the Italian side are looking at ways to reduce the club's wage bill and the departure of Rabiot would help.

It's said that they would make the 26-year-old available for a fee worth around £12.8m.

Rabiot joined Juventus on a free transfer following the end of his contract at Paris Saint-Germain in 2019.

The Magpies could face some stiff competition for Rabiot's signature with Real Madrid also said to be keeping an eye on the midfielder.
