Newcastle United are maintaining interest in PSG striker Amara Diane.

Diane, previously linked to Newcastle and Portsmouth, has refused to join Rennes, as he was proposed to be part of a swap deal with Jimmy Briand.

"I won't go there," he said. "If I have to leave PSG, it will be to go abroad."
