Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is eyeing Southampton skipper Adam Lallana.

The Sun says Pards has been an admirer of midfield star Lallana since spending 13 months in charge at St Mary's.

Saints captain Lallana, 23, signed a four-year deal last year but Pardew will try out the club's resolve with a bid of £5million.
