Newcastle United pair Fabricio Coloccini and Papiss Cisse will not make Saturday's trip to Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Magpies meet the Seagulls in the third round of the FA Cup at the Amex Stadium but will be without skipper Coloccini and star striker Cisse after they picked up knocks in Wednesday's 2-1 Premier League loss to Everton.
Newcastle boss Alan Pardew is now without his two main attackers for the Brighton fixture after Demba Ba made his £7million move to Chelsea so will have to tinker with his line-up by starting Shola Ameobi up front alongside younger brother Sammy and Gabriel Obertan.
James Perch will likely step into Coloccini's void in central defence to partner Mike Williamson.
