Napoli coach Rafa Benitez is being linked with Newcastle United. The Daily Star says Italian media sources state Newcastle owner Mike Ashley wants Benitez to take over from caretaker boss John Carver in the summer.
With Benitez off contract in June, Ashley is keeping tabs on the Spaniard in case he chooses to come back to England.
The former Liverpool and Chelsea boss still has a family home on the Wirral.
