Phil Airey refuses to give up on his Newcastle United career.

The striker is off contract in June. However, United are thought to be still very much reviewing the Amble lad's progress, says the Evening Chronicle.

Airey, who spent a month at Hibernian on loan earlier this season, has been back with the Magpies since September after making just one appearance for the Easter Road outfit.
