Newcastle United remain in the hunt for Feyenoord fullback Daryl Janmaat.
Janmaat is seen at Newcastle as a replacement for the Arsenal bound Mathieu Debuchy.
The Evening Chronicle says Feyenoord last week rejected a 6 million (£4.7m) bid from Newcastle for Janmaat.
The Dutch club want £6m for him, however, that deal is far from dead and the player himself is keen to move to Tyneside.
