Newcastle midfielder Hayden plans legal action against Standard Liege

Newcastle United midfielder Isaac Hayden will sue the prospective Everton owners this month.

The midfielder has been on loan at Standard Liege in Belgium, who are owned by 777 Partners.

The private equity firm is not only in charge at Liege, but at other European clubs that are in financial trouble.

Now they are intent on buying Everton, with Hayden describing his situation by stating: “The main reason I left is that the club does not pay salaries on time and does not pay them.

“I will now initiate legal proceedings against the club to obtain the wages that Standard Liege owes me."

777 Partners are close to securing a takeover of Everton, which has left many Toffees fans concerned.
