Newcastle United midfielder Jack Colback insists Alan Pardew won't be a factor for their clash with Crystal Palace.

Pardew faces his former team for the first time since his departure.

Colback told the Evening Chronicle: "The Alan Pardew thing is irrelevant but it will be blown up in the media.

"As players we aren't going into the game thinking: 'Let's get one over the old manager', we're just going in to get three points and push up the table so that's what we will be focusing on."
