Newcastle midfielder Medhi Abeid will join Scottish premier League outfit St Johnstone on loan until the end of the season. The 20-year-old tweeted: "Départ for saint johnstone on loan for the rest of the season! #needa game!"
The Algerian U-23 international has made two first team appearances for the Magpies, both in the FA Cup.
