Newcastle United have made an improved offer for QPR striker Charlie Austin, reports ESPN.
The 26-year-old has been linked with a move to Newcastle all summer and the club is now ready to improve their initial £12m offer.
Austin is valued at £15m by the R's and Magpies manager Steve McClaren is keen to wrap up the deal for the striker who scored 18 Premier League goals last term.
Various other clubs such as Leicester City, West Ham United and Crystal Palace have also registered interest in the England international.
