Newcastle United have bid for Nancy left-back Massadio Haidara.
The Evening Chronicle says United have put in a bid for the 20-year-old and have been given permission to speak to the defender.
Personal terms though are yet to be agreed for the youngster although the French Under-21 international is keen on the move.
