Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer feels West Ham United's clash with Wigan Athletic will be decisive in Avram Grant's career.

Shearer admits he has sympathy for the Israeli.

He told Absolute Radio: "It is a must-win game and there's huge pressure, as you know, whenever you go into management, but when you haven't won for a few games, when you're sitting bottom of the League, then you find out what that pressure is all about.

"So it's a big game for West Ham and Avram so we wish him all the best. No one, particularly when you've been on the other side and been in that management game, you don't want to see people falter, but it is a big game and he's under huge pressure."
